Surgery for my son in Auckland

Hi everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this..... My son Reuben who is 31 and is an amputee has been through the wars.

In February, while at home he had a fall as he couldn't wear his prosthetic due to some sores and came down on his forehead, with only one good arm he couldn't break his fall. He then started to get headachs which we put down to an infected tooth which he had pulled. But the headachs got worse so it was off to 24hr where we were sent to hospital for a CT scan to check for a brain bleed which there was none, so they put it down to concussion..... a while later he went for an eyetest as his eyesight was deteriorating and we were advised to go straight to ED.

They did an MRI and found blood clots in his brain that was blocking the arteries that also remove the excess brain fluid that naturally builds. His eyesight was getting worse due to the exess pressure on the optic nerve. He had a lumbar puncture to measure the pressure of the fluid and draw some off.... they then went up the vein to remove the clots and put a stent in but to no avail. Then brain surgery where they put a shunt in to drain the excess fluid (see photo) but it hasn't helped.

Now they are sending him to Auckland tomorrow (3/7) for eye surgery. I need to go with him but we don't know if my accommodation and flight will be covered and don't have any holiday pay as I've only been in my job for 3mths and have a hefty mortgage. We're desperate and need your help, thank you so much
