Kevin, a young emaciated puppy, has been hit by a car, his previous owners did not seek veterinary treatment. Kevin will now lose his leg.
Waikato
Kevin was rescued 4 days after being hit by a car. His previous owners did not seek veterinary treatment and he was found wandering around in extreme pain. He apparently spent 2 days on the side of the road before finding his way to the property. Not only this, Kevin is also emaciated, not just thin. He is extremely underweight and has not been cared for prior to being hit by a car. Kevin is a young beautiful puppy, who wagged his little tail the moment we met - even with his dangling broken leg, covered in cuts and scratches and emaciated. Kevin's life matters. His previous owners neglect has almost killed him. Kevin is now with Paws 4 Life and is being treated by Vetora Glenview. We need donations for Kevin's surgery, his leg will be amputated, and once recovered, Kevin will be rehomed into a loving, caring, fabulous forever home, living the life he should have always had.
Paws 4 Life Charitable Trust is based in the Waikato and we help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in our community. To date, we have rescued over 3000 animals! All are vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, flea/worm treated, microchipped and registered for starters, then adopted by awesome, amazing people!
Founded by Rachael Maher, an ex-SPCA Inspector in 2010, Paws 4 Life has grown from a one-woman operation to an organisation that the Waikato community relies on to be there for the animals.
These days we’re headed up by Rachael Maher and Jay Johanssen who are supported by an army of volunteers and foster families, and backed by the team at Kelly Andrews Veterinary Services. Between all of us we are able to offer shelter to over 1500 cats every single year, with a few dogs, goats, lambs, and rabbits thrown into the mix just to keep things interesting.
The only way to save Kevin's life, is for him to have surgery to remove his broken leg. There is no other option. Every donation will be used for his surgery and his recovery. He will be fed the very best food to aid his recovery, he will know warmth, love and affection and live a pain free, love filled life!
