Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to visit, If you want to read how our story began you can read here or on instagram otherwise let’s begin..https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/how-our-world-came-crumbling-down.
Our rollercoaster of a ride has been up and down with wins and losses, from karen having a severe reaction to keytruda to then the awesome news of no detectable cancer pre surgery.
To post surgery being informed there is still cells there, and having to face what lies ahead which came a little quicker than anticipated.
Karen had her lumpectomy and radiation which entailed 4.5 weeks of daily radiation treatment, which she handled quite well and we was looking to have a start of the new normal as we called it.
We started to get back going out for little walks and gym to help with Karen’s fitness, things are going good, until Karen comes walking into the bedroom about 9.5 weeks post radiation, tears in her eyes as she’s felt a lump in her abdomen, a biopsy confirms it’s cancer and it’s back.
We had the awesome team start us on a new cycle of capecitabine tablets, which we ran for 3 cycles with no success. We remained hopeful and positive this new treatment of vinorelbine, which after 2 cycles and a CT scan confirmed it’s working.
That was until last week and a consultation and CT scan shows the cancer has stopped responding.
We are now having to go into private unfunded treatment with sacituzamab at the Bowen clinic, and now facing $122,000 for this treatment.
She’s my best friend, soulmate and my loving partner who I never want to ever say goodbye to 💔
The money will be used to fund unfunded treatment sacituzumab govitecan to help fight TNBC

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has helped so far, we are extremely grateful for each and everyone of you.
I dunno how to even write this but we have had an unexpected visit to ED over the weekend, and yesterday we got hit with some extremely shocking and devastating news that karen unfortunately has now been diagnosed with leptomeningeal disease, we will be taking this time together that we have to spend as much quality time together and create some lasting memories, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts again for the help and support you all have shown ❤️
