Hi my names Shelley Hudson, February 2026 I finally received my “ urgent” scan after an unacceptable waiting time being just under 6 months . I live in Nelson NZ and at present there is a lot of media cover on Nelson hospital and the issues on urgent waiting times . I’m Evidence that it’s still happening with my very fresh diagnosis…….

Stage 4 Metastasised Neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer grade 2

Im setting up this give Alittle page as I’m receiving a supported living benefit due to other health issues and now my new diagnosis . As we all know with the cost of living is hard enough and then with a cancer diagnosis with many added costs. Yes the hospital is free and they cover my own flights and they help with a little bit towards travel, not a lot!!! It’s now a huge stress not only on me but now my family who want to be able to travel from Australia to New Zealand to support me more regularly than their budget allows. My Daughter has a very young child and she would like to be beside me for support at appointments and this requires her partner to have to take time off work to allow my daughter to support me in this way. Which is a one income family. It’s all the extra costs that comes with travel while doing treatment in other cities .

Not only all of the above, I would ideally like to try the natural healing therapies and appointments and treatment with natural specialists but this comes at a huge cost that I just do not have.
