A close friend of mine, Racquel Lopez, was diagnosed with vestibular schwannoma (acoustic neuroma) last month when she did her MRI in Philippines. It is a slow-growing tumor that develops from the balance and hearing nerves supplying the inner ear. She has now lost her hearing on her right ear and has facial weakness/paralysis on the right side as well.
