Sven "The Gladiator" Gordon

Hi, my name is Sven William James Gordon and I am 13yrs old.

On the 5th of December 2017 my whole life changed when I was rushed to Waikato Hospital in the evening as I wasn't feeling very well and after a few tests & scans I was then rushed straight to Starship Hospital where I was diagnosed with Acute Myleiod Leukemia (AML).

AML - is a fast growing type of Cancer where the white cells found in my bone marrow and blood are not doing their job properly and I can get really sick very easily so I have to stay in Hospital to make sure I don't catch everyone else's bugs when my blood counts are low. I cannot go anywhere there are lots of people.

I love being outside! Especially out on the farm with my Dad, who can't be here with me as much as I really want him to as my Dad's a contract farmer and works really hard trying to support me and my family.

I miss being outside riding the old farm bike down in the paddock and even seeing the cows and the working dogs. I really miss not being able to go pig hunting, fishing and driving my junior dragster.

All these things that I loved doing have now come to a big halt with me having to stay in Starship Hospital and have Chemotherapy treatment.
