For every synthetic addict destroying themselves, ten times as many family members lives are also destroyed.
Canterbury
Synthetics. Zombie. Spice. Sin. K2. Krokodil. Cannabinoids. The names change, but the evil just keeps growing. These drugs have been designed in laboratories with the express intention of creating addiction rapidly. It is a worldwide problem that is not going to go away.
Synthetics are destroying families and destroying our communities, rich and poor alike. Sadly, so evil are these drugs that once addicted, the addicted are seldom able to be helped or reached.
The families are the ones who bear the brunt of this evil, and are destroyed and seldom receive any help or support. There is a wall of indifference from the Police, many politicians and the health sector. We want to form a mutual help group to help the family victims!
My personal story is that of my son Roger, who died in July 2018 from a bad batch of synthetic. The video above very eloquently tells my story. He only started to experiment with drugs a year earlier. Yet in that year, not only his life but the lives of all those around him were also destroyed. I cannot help him now (truthfully, the addiction is so strong that nothing probably could have saved him), but I and others want to reduce the suffering of those who surround these addicts.
From this Give a Little page, we hope to raise sufficient funds to engage a lawyer to set up a charitable trust, and from there to seek further funding to have premises where we can voluntarily man a 0800 number and message/chat board where mutual support and information sharing can be achieved.
We intend this to be solely for the families of the addicts, who are usually the greatest and neglected victims of this hell.
Anyone reading this is most welcome to contact me and get on board, regardless of whether or not you make a donation!
We believe that for a small amount of funding can achieve a considerable amount of suffering. Please help us to help ourselves!
