Kia Ora e te whanau, Running this to support my ongoing journey within the performing arts. Thank you all for your love and support.
Auckland
I am Xavier Paul, a 24 year old actor from Tamaki Makarau.
This year I am chasing my dreams of acting in the stage, screen and performing arts industry by attending The Actors’ Program. A one-year intensive training program for actors in Aotearoa, with an 82% employment rate amongst its graduates. Places on the course are extremely limited and I am stoked to be part of the 2025 class.
So far on my journey I have learnt the intricacies of what it “IS” to be a creative; I have really been honing in on staying connected/grounded to truth as much as I possibly can. Learning and knowledge has also been a very big part of my journey so far, really taking in every slice of gold that is thrown my way. It would be a disappointment to let that opportunity slip from my grasp.
This goes hand in hand with my “WHY” as I want to one day be able to pass on with confidence all the tools/knowledge I have gained in my own “Performing Kete” to the Rangatahi here in Aotearoa. Which has slowly already come to light, as I have recently been on a wananga where I was taking and leading vocal classes / acting workshops with rangatahi who were just like me, eager and ready to jump straight into the mahi. Which is so awesome to see as I feel it is important that we are keeping our industry growing and strong.
This is me reaching out to you in need of that support and help, which I'd be immensely grateful for.
This funding will go towards my remaining balance whilst being at the Actors Program.
As the Actors’ Program is a Charitable Trust and independent from the tertiary education system, the fees for the course are not eligible for support from Study Link etc.
