On the 23rd of March this year my brother, Jordan and sister in law, Darcy gave birth to a perfect baby boy and named him Tallan Ken Vard Williams.
Tallan has 2 big sisters and a big brother. Dallas begged Darcy and Jordan for years to have a baby brother, now that he’s here they are inseparable. Dakotah is Tallan’s second Mummy and does everything she can to help. Kayzlee was so happy to have a real life baby to carry around and pretend was her very own. All three of the kids are longing for their baby brother to join them at home.
Tallan has always been a bit unsettled and both Darcy and Jordan have always been told it was either colic or reflux. One night, Tallan was struggling to breathe and Darcy took him to get help. Tallan had an X-ray done where they found his heart was incredibly enlarged. After many tests and scans, Tallan was diagnosed with ALCAPA Syndrome (Anomalous Left Coronary Artery from the Pulmonary Artery) on Thursday. He was rushed into Open Heart Surgery on Friday morning as his condition is incredibly serious and the faster Tallan had help the better.
It is a very rare type of heart condition and affects 1 in 300,000 live births and Tallans surgeon has said he does maybe one of these operations a year. The left side of Tallans wee heart was not getting enough oxygen and the right side was working over time. Which answers all our questions to why he has been so unsettled. Both colic and reflux are the most common misdiagnoses.
Jordan works full time and hard to support his family of 6 but he needs to be with Darcy and Tallan at the hospital. I have made this give a little page for them so they can buy the essentials they need to get through this terrible time and not have to worry about not having what the need and being able to spend this much needed time in Starship with their son while he recovers.
We do ask that those who know Darcy and Jordan personally to refrain from contacting them at the moment. This is all still very raw and they both are just not ready for a whole lot of phone calls or messages. Thank you x

Use of funds
The funds will go straight to rent, bills, gas, any hospital costs (parking ect), every day living and so Tallan's brother and sisters can travel to and from the hospital to visit and so Jordan and Darcy don't have to much financial strain.

Welcome home Tallan 9 November 2018
After almost 9 weeks in Starship, Tallan is finally home.
He was greeted happily by his sisters and brother, they are all enjoying having their baby brother home.
Tallan made loads of friends for life and would flirt up a storm in the Heart Ward.
It has been a long journey for the Williams whanau. Tallan will live with his ALCAPA for the rest of his life and he will still need to have visits from nurses, doctors ect for a wee while yet.
I just want to thank those who donated to my brother and his family and to those who continuously showed their support. We are all so grateful. The little boy with the biggest heart is finally home with his Mummy, Daddy, sissy’s and brother.
