Bay of Plenty
I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer on 12 February 2013. I have had two phases of chemotherapy, however my cancer has been found to be resistant to that particular chemotherapy. My oncologist has recommended immediate commencement of treatment which is not funded in the NZ health system. The treatment will cost $82,000.00.
I am unable to work due to my disease. While I remain positive and focused on my healing, my health will deteriorate if I do not have these treatments.
Tania is a phenomenal friend who has shown me the most amazing loyalty and support throughout the years that I have known her. She served her community for over 21 years in the NZ Police, the majority of her adult life.
During these heart and soul wrenching times, she has maintained an unbelievably strong resolve, fierce determination and an unflappable positive outlook.
She is an awe inspiring and humbling person who is now needing help from friends, colleagues and community, past and present.
