From National to International
Tannah's competition season has seen her grow from strength to strength with her successfully climbing 2 levels in 2017.
Tannah will be travelling to Nelson this year for the 2017 Nationals. It's been an exciting season as she has recently been selected to represent NZ in Singapore.
This was done through a selection process at a qualifying event in Christchurch through Gymsports New Zealand, with specific qualification criteria that needs to be achieved.
Tannah placed 3rd on day 1 & 1st on day 2, securing her spot in the squad of 6 gymnasts to travel to Singapore.
We have been blown away with the hard work & dedication that Tannah applies, not only to Gymnastics, but also in her life.
She has a positive disposition & is humble in her achievements.
Gymnastics requires many hours of hard work & dedication from the gymnasts & the coaches who support & guide them thanklessly. They spend 20+ hours in the gym which means that there are many family and friend sacrifices that have to be made.
Unfortunately gymnastics does not receive funding and it is up to the parents to finance all international and national travel for the competition season for both the gymnasts and their coaches. As you can imagine these travel costs and training costs quickly grow.
With family & friends spread across the globe & kindly offering their assiststance, we have decided to use this platform to raise funds.
Whilst Tannah will be doing some fundraising of her own any contributions would be appreciated, as her time off is limited.
We would love to make this dream a reality for Tannah, and would appreciate any donation which can be made annonamously.
We are involved as we are Tannah's parents.
The funds raised will go towards flights and accommodation and uniforms.
