Tanya's fight against bowel cancer

Last Monday Tanya's world was turned upside down when she was rushed to hospital by ambulance and diagnosed with bowel cancer. Tanya had been experiencing symptoms for 9 months previously and was told she was too young to have cancer, was referred to a specialist and told she would recieve a colonoscopy within 2 weeks as the symptoms she was presenting with were deemed urgent. Unfortunately that never happened and she has now found herself in the position where she faces weeks of radiation (6 times a week), followed by months of chemotherapy and possible surgery if she doesn't respond to treatment. This means at least 5 months off work while she fights and trys to recover. Along with the emotional stress, comes the financial stress of trying to provide for her family on one income and her husband Warwick having to reduce his hours significantly to help raise their children and take her to medical appointments ect. They are not entitled to any government assistance.
