Help us to meet the huge demand to become an Enviroschool in Taranaki
Taranaki
Reaching across the region, our team of Enviroschools are working hard to support young people to instinctively think and act sustainably and we invite you to support us on our journey.
Through this page you can donate if you've received a Boomerang Bag, contribute to our ongoing mahi (work) to help us reach out to our kindergartens and schools, or support with our other initiatives such as Plastic Free July Taranaki.
We currently have 48 Enviroschools region wide from Kindergartens all the way through to Secondary Schools. The demand to become an Enviroschool in this region shows us that this kaupapa (programme) is meeting the needs of current learning systems. We currently have 36 schools on the wait list and need funding to bring them on.
We thank you for your support & hope you have a fabulous day x
Toimata Foundation is a charitable trust that develops and supports nationwide educational programmes to bring about sustainability through learning and action.
Through our two main programmes, Te Aho Tū Roa and Enviroschools, we support over 1000 schools, kura, and early childhood centres. Participants range from children and young people to post-school youth and communities, in both English and Māori settings.
We're hoping you'll support us in our initiatives for the region including Plastic Free July, Boomerang Bags, environmental education experiences and events.
