    WOOHOO!! Together with my amazing and generous friends, family & community we have raised over $10,000 for the Hamlin Fistula organisation to prevent and treat childbirth injuries in Ethiopia!! (The above total doesn't reflect this because most of the money was raised through other means!!) This has been an incredible journey & I thank everyone who has shown their support in some way - especially those who donated, helped put on a charity auction, baked cupcakes, helped with our movie fundraiser, spread the word or provided encouragement along the way. You are all fabulous & have helped to make a difference to the lives of precious women and communities in Ethiopia. THANK YOU xx

    Hi Friends, Family & Supporters, I just wanted to update you all on my Hamlin fundraising & plans!! FIRSTLY, an incredible THANKS to everyone who has generously supported my efforts to raise $10,000 to prevent & treat childbirth injuries in Ethiopia. So far, I have raised $5,250 thanks to your overwhelming support! (Some of this was through a movie fundraiser in NZ and some was through an online fundraising page in AU as well as this givealittle page.) I am hoping to raise a few thousand more at a charity auction at the Tewantin Cricket Club tomorrow morning! SECONDLY, as many of you would know, I have recently returned from my first ever trip to Ethiopia & my incredible tour of the Hamlin facilities! They are doing an ASTOUNDING job meeting the needs of local women, providing health education, training midwives & healing women suffering from obstetric fistula. My original intentions were to return to Ethiopia in November as part of the Hamlin Fistula Australian Great Ethiopian Adventure! However, my PLANS have now changed & my dear sister, Melissa Schulze will now be going in my place. Together we are expecting to exceed my original fundraising target! This will enable Missy to see firsthand the wonderful work that is being undertaken & like me come back and spread the word!! ??
