Tauranga RDA delivers goal-based riding programmes that build ability, independence, and confidence for people with physical, intellectual, and social challenges.
Join Us – 4 Hour Relay | 14 March 2026 | 10am to 2pm
Our annual 4 Hour Relay is our signature fundraising event and a highlight of the year for our riders and supporters. Riders take part in relay-style rides to showcase the impact of RDA programmes while helping us raise vital funds to keep our services accessible and rider fees heavily subsidised.
Each rider is allocated a 30-minute riding slot, enjoying the opportunity to ride one of our wonderful RDA horses around a set course at our Welcome Bay facilities.
The day is all about community and celebration, featuring great riding, delicious food, a coffee cart, spot prizes, and plenty of fun for everyone involved.

About us
To offer equine therapy to people with disabilities and social challenges. We are a registered charity, operating our therapy programs 6 days a week.
Use of funds
All funds raised contribute to keeping our operating costs low and enable us to continue offering heavily subsidised rider fees.
