Tautoko Pania Haruru’s recovery
Wellington
Kia ora whānau,
Mum, Pania Haruru had a CT scan on the 21st July that showed a Brain Aneurysm. Not only this, that morning she also had a Major stroke. She was rushed into surgery to remove the clot and although has had a couple complications, was slowly showing signs of progression. At the moment she is non-speech, cannot move the right side of her body but is really comprehensive. Mum is booked to head to Kenepuru Rehabilitation centre within the next couple days and that’s when we will see what quality of life will look like for her as she also has extra complications being her blood pressure, weight and other health issues.
Mum Pania & Dad Pj are incredible people with huge hearts and are always supporting others. They are hard workers and would not hesitate to help others, but do not like to ask for help themselves. While they are grateful to receive support through mahi, I want to make sure that they are financially taken care of as much as possible so I have set this up to try and help with some of the financial barriers that will come down the track.
A big mihi to everyone whether your koha be big or small, please know our whānau appreciate it.
My mother
Resources Pania may need that funding cannot provide, necessities needed to look after and care for Pania, to make sure home and life is taken care of while Pania heals.
Update on use of funds 9 October 2023
Funds will be used for flights, ferries, accommodation and gas to get our family from around the north island and South Island to and from my mother to help take care of her as that is a current need.
