Tavenui Dental Project

We are wanting to fund our Rotary Dentists to travel to Tavenui and provide the much needed dental care to the Children in Tavenui.

First and foremost we wish to provide first world dentistry to primary school children on Taveuni that are suffering from dental disease and who are in pain or in a short time, will be in pain. i.e. actually providing urgent and much needed treatment to the children.

Secondly, we wish to set up a sustainable preventative programme within the schools and the communities to prevent dental disease from continuing at the growing rate.

i.e. educating the children but also the teachers and parents.

About us

Rotary is about Service Above Self. We raise funds and run programmes to help the community - particularly Youth on the Kapiti Coast.

Vic & Stu are Kapiti Rotarians and through the charity are raising funds by participating in the Tour Aotearoa to to discover new limits in themselves and to challenge and support Kapiti Youth to strive toward their potential

Use of funds

The money will be to fund the travel and accomodation and dental supplies to assist in providing the dental work on the Children of Tavenui, along with ensuring the educational program is delivered after we have completed the dental work.
