Tayne & Tiana McKinnon NZBA Representive Basketball in USA

Sisters Tayne 12 and Tiana 11 have been selected for the New Zealand Basketball Academy U13 Girls team to travel to the USA

Wellington

Sports crazy sisters Tayne and Tiana have trained and trialled extremely hard and have been selected for the NZBA U13 Girls team and will be representing NZ in July against the best US academy teams. The cost for this amazing opportunity is $4200.00 each. The girls have been busy fundraising and have achieved almost half the required amount at the time of writing. They have held raffles, and are selling Hangis . Their former primary school helped generously with a sausage sizzle and they have also received donations from a number of businesses and community organizations. They also will be holding a dinner dance and movie nights and also are planning a car wash.

The girls are dedicated to sports and have this year also represented Lower Hutt in Softball and Basketball and Wellington in Touch.They will be representing their Intermediate in Athletics. They also referee Touch, Basketball and Netball and their earnings are going towards their goal.

I am extremely proud of my girls as is their Mum Tina, but we can't afford to cover the cost of this trip alone. We have all been working together with family , friends, schools, community groups and businesses to achieve the girls goal of playing for New Zealand in the States.

They work extremely hard at their sport and school and would genuinely appreciate this achievement.

Any help you can give financially would be greatly and graciously accepted.
