Walking the length of New Zealand on the Te Araroa Trail to grow, heal, and inspire others — help make it possible!
Wellington
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven by a love for adventure — the kind that pushes you beyond the familiar and into the unknown. This year, I’ll be thru-hiking the Te Araroa Trail, a 3,000 km journey across New Zealand. It’s a challenge that will test me physically and mentally, but it’s also much bigger than myself.
Not everyone can drop everything and walk across a country. Many share this love for exploration but life holds them back. My goal is to bring them along — through storytelling, film, and photography, capturing both the struggles and the beauty of the journey.
I want this hike to inspire, to comfort those who dream of adventure but can’t yet take it, and to remind us that the world is still out there, waiting. With your support, I can share the Te Araroa with thousands — not just as one hiker’s story, but as a story of resilience, wonder, and the universal pull of adventure.
Funds will support essential gear, food, and travel for my Te Araroa hike, as well as filming, editing, and producing a documentary while I take time off work. If the target isn’t fully reached, any contributions will still help cover core costs.
Training for the Te Araroa 28 August 2025
Good evening! On Monday, I went out for a practice hike, taking all my gear with me to test it out and make sure everything was in working order. My mate Cameron came along to help keep me motivated. It was great to get back on a trail, walking through nature, and despite all the puffing and grunting, reaching the top of Belmont Park made it all worth it. The view was incredible and reassuring—it reminded me that I’m on the right path, and that taking on this journey is exactly what I’m meant to do.
