We are calling on Te Huruhi families and our wider Waiheke community to support us with fundraising for landscaping for our school.
Auckland
Ahakoa he iti he mapihi pounamu / From little things, big things grow
This is the motto of Te Huruhi Primary School - a school that believes strongly in nurturing all who are there. 2020 saw the completion of the new school and the amazing fundraising efforts in recent years has allowed playgrounds and classroom resources to be available (these are not funded by the Ministry of Education.
Unfortunately the MOE don't fund for landscaping for our new school so we have decided to create a fundraising platform for this purpose.
On this beautiful island where we choose to raise our children we cannot imagine having a school without trees and plants to be connected with. We would like to support the school with some specific fundraising to help them cover the cost of their approved landscaping.
We are calling on Te Huruhi families and our wider Waiheke community to contribute to this important cause.
We have a vision to install a Gratitude Plaque somewhere in the gardens when complete to recognise all the people who have supported this – regardless of whether you donate $5, $50 or $500 ... it doesn’t matter, we are grateful. Because from little things, big things truly do grow.
