One of our volunteers, Alison had planted seeds just before the lockdown, and looked after them at her home. When we were allowed to come back, Alison brought the seedlings along and they were ready to be re-planted.
THANKS to our generous donors to-date, we were able to build a few vegetable garden beds just days earlier, and now they are ready for the seedlings.
So far we've planted silverbeet, kale, fennel, beetroot, spring onions, lettuce, coriander, asparagus and more.
We still have a sea of lonely seedlings waiting for their home to be built, so if you know of anyone who can pitch in and help us raise more funds, we'll continue building the vegetable beds - aiming for 12 beds of varying sizes.
The design continues to be work in progress, yet the progress we see definitely puts a smile on everyone's face.
