Please help raise funds to help pay for Teddy's ongoing vet care for idiopathic cystitis and urinary crystals.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Teddy is a large ginger and white cat who was rescued as a stray about 2 years ago.
He's an extremely intelligent cat who eats from complicated puzzle feeders, has learned to 'sit' and 'high five' or give his paw for treats and enjoys a good interactive chaser game.
He's approx 5-6 years old and on Good Friday had to go to Massey after hours with urinary symptoms. He was diagnosed with idiopathic cystitis due to stress (?). Since then he has continued to have problems requiring blood tests, urine tests, a 3 day admission to my vets to clear a blockage due to crystals and is now on meds and special diet.
But his problems are ongoing and the costs are mounting. And honestly Teddy is a far too fit, healthy (in every other way) and smart too to let something like cystitis and the cost of treatment be a reason a vet suggests that's it.
I have now paid nearly $600 on my credit card in vet bills and another $701.60 is outstanding. I expect this figure to rise.
He is home this weekend and it is clear he is not ok just yet.
Help clear Teddy's outstanding vet bills, currently and pay further bills as I expect there to be more.
In the unlikely event of surplus I will donate it on to a pet charity such a huha
Final update and thank you 18 July 2021
As the page closes I want to thank everyone for donating to help Teddy you are all so awesome it means so much!
Teddy is doing well after all his vet treatment and is on prescription urinary diet for life now. Which suits him fine. He's even managed to gain even more weight (which is not so good).
He is king of his domain once more and very happy. As you can see in the photo below. Hopefully he stays that way 💕
Thank you
