International
Our aim is to help health services in Temotu to build resilience against the effects of natural disasters. We will be helping to refurbish, equip and build the capacity of the staff at Health Clinics after the devastation of Cyclone Pam. Our project includes painting the interior of the clinics so they can be cleaned easily, insect protection will be added to windows and solar power and lighting will be added. We shall update medical equipment and nursing education to be provided by a visiting Doctor and Midwife. Funds to be raised will cover the expense of purchasing Solar panels and accessories, batteries, inverter, lights, paint, insect protection, education materials, medical equipment.
We run expeditions on loaned sailing yachts to remote small islands to assist them with marine and terrestrial ecosystem management, sustainable livelihood projects, environmental education and to build their capacity to handle the problems associated with climate change.
