Fundraising for Expenses Involved in the Hutt Sister City Student Exchange between students from Lower Hutt and Tempe, Arizona

Kiralee, Kacie, Lauren, and Ellarose - four Lower Hutt secondary school students - have been selected to participate in the Hutt Sister City five week student exchange with four students from Tempe, Arizona in June/July 2017. The Americans arrive in June and whilst here for their five week stay, we provide a day to day itinerary showcasing Lower Hutt and some of New Zealand. Our students then visit Tempe for five weeks where they not only learn about the American way of life but get to meet student delegates from all over the world.

I am Lauren's mother. Our older daughter participated in the Sister City Exchange in 2014 and we have made lifelong friends with participants from both countries. It truly has been a life-changing experience being part of this exchange.
Use of funds
As a group, we need to raise $15,000 - this pays for airfares for the Lower Hutt students to go to Tempe, Arizona, and the remainder of the money pays for the four American students costs whilst they are here in New Zealand. We have been fundraising hard since October and would be grateful for any support from the public to help us meet this goal.
