Raising funds to support my close friend and her family in her terminal cancer fight to access medical treatment and create memories

On Monday 17th November my great friend Carley got the worst possible news at 51 years young, and after months of seeking medical treatment and being ignored, Carly got the diagnosis we all fear. Not only has Carley been diagnosed with Cancer, but the Cancer has also sadly spread and is unfortunately terminal.

Carley was an amazing friend to me when I went through Cancer treatment in 2019. Carley helped support me and my young family throughout this process. Carley always puts others ahead of herself and always supports elderly friends and neighbours.

Carley hates making a fuss, but as you can imagine her life has changed overnight. It is hard to imagine how to cope with what is ahead for Carley and her lovely family. Nothing can change the diagnosis but what this Give a Little page will do is allow the family to breathe and know that they can be there to help guide Carley on this very sad journey.

The funds raised will be used to enable Carley to see a private Oncologist. This is very important as she has been told it is a six week wait through the public system and time is not on Carley's side.

Use of funds

The money will go towards private oncologist costs (appointments, treatment, therapies, tests), allowing Carley's husband to have time away from work to spend quality time and support Carley through her numerous appointments. The money will also help them create lifelong memories with their family (travel, accommodation, and food)
