Help Tessa get to Brazil to play for the NZ Universities team at the World Futsal Champs!

Hi!

I have been given the opportunity to travel to Brazil to play for the NZ Universities team at the World University Champs. As someone who has always had a goal of representing NZ at a world cup, this is an incredibly important opportunity for me. I have been involved in NZ football teams in the past but I have always missed out on the final cut and I have never been to a World Cup. Now I have the chance to play in a World Champs, albeit in a slightly different way. Futsal is slightly different from football, it is a 5 aside sport played on a court, however, Futsal incorporates all the characteristics I love about the football; agility, creativity and footwork. It is one of the fastest growing sports in NZ and is extremely popular in South America. I am excited to be challenged and play against some of the best players in the world. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, however, as a student it is financially very difficult without a little bit of help! We were only selected a few months before we get on the plane, and we are going on the 30th June. The total cost of this tournament is $4000.
