Thames Environmental Alliance (TEA) is a charitable trust created to control pest plants in the Thames region. We formed with a vision to restore the Thames environment from the effects of historic mining, land clearing, and neglect.
We chose the name Alliance because we aim to be involved at all levels by connecting as many people and organisations as possible. We get our hands dirty running community working bees, we support and amplify local groups’ environmental efforts, we connect with landowners, communities, iwi, councils, and key organisations ... and we'd love you to be a part of that too!
Use of funds
Everything we receive goes directly towards restoring and protecting the Thames environment. This could include sapling plants for mass revegetation, larger specimen trees, consumables like herbicides, fertiliser, water retention granules, tools, specialised contractors where needed, waste disposal, and generally keeping the lights on. If you have a specific place or type of activity you'd like to sponsor or support, please get in touch to let us know, and we'll make sure your money gets there.
