Thanking Teacher Carol for 29 years of wonderful service caring for and inspiring the children of our Mangere Bridge community
Auckland
In October, Carol Hartley will be retiring from her role as Head Teacher at Mangere Bridge Kindergarten.
Carol has been a pillar in the Bridge community for almost three decades - welcoming, caring for, and inspiring hundreds of children who have passed through the gates of Mangere Bridge Kindy. She has co-authored research on transitioning to school, and led our local centre to award-winning heights, but to our kids she will always be "Teacher Carol!" Her warm smile, caring arms, and kind heart will be missed as she moves on to her next chapter.
Please help our Parent Whanau Group send her off in style by generously donating towards a retirement gift. We will be organising a Waiheke wine experience, as well as personalised artwork to present to Carol during her final week at kindy. You can also contact Pat Rogers (patricia.rogers@aka.org.nz) if you would like to contribute any other specific gifts, items, or messages to Carol or Mangere Bridge Kindergarten.

Aroha mai, aroha atu 1 October 2021
Thank you all for the generous contributions and messages for Carol! Today is her official last day at Mangere Bridge Kindy, and it is bittersweet. While there will be an opportunity to formally farewell Carol in Term 4, today we have seen an outpouring of aroha from children popping by kindy to drop off gifts, draw messages in chalk, and say goodbye. ❤️❤️❤️
The funding from this page has been passed along to our new head teacher - Pat Rogers - and we will send another update when the gifts are to be formally presented to Carol.
