We're still here!!
15 September 2024I know we've been a bit silent but we are still here and still going strong!! Not much to report just yet simply because those we have served paper to keep needing extensions, we think maybe they're having a bit of a hard time finding representation on the law side. Ah well! We will not be giving any further extensions for any of the parties beyond the start of October so its a waiting game for the moment. We want to thank all you amazing people for you support, feel free to do another push for us all over the place. And also just a big thank you for some organisations who have been going hard for the cause and sent through some awesome putea. Indian Origin Pride and Big Hairy News.
Those purchased the fundraising hoodies from BHN, we'd love to see you wearing them, post some photos and tag us and BHN on social media! I just got mine the other day and can't wait to wear it out and about.
I (Sunita) have been working very hard lately, working hard towards taking a bit of a break so I will get some much needed R&R for a couple of weeks but I am going to try get some posts and videos up.

I've heard through the grapevine that a defence lawyer has been retained and that after quite a bit of brainstorming to come up with a valid argument against story time, they have landed on this idea. If a child goes to story time and likes the drag queen reading the story, the child might look that queen up online and find their webpage. That webpage may contain inherently sexual content, for example (this is the example given when I heard this) the drag queen lying across a man's lap. This makes drag performers inherently sexual and therefore (in their logic) inherently inappropriate for children. They said it would be like strippers reading to children. I tried to argue at the time that I think strippers reading to children would also be perfectly fine, it is also a profession that deserves to be destigmatised.

27 June 2024Oh my gosh everyone! Thank you so much! I was doing so well when there were only 3-4 donors and I replied to them al individually with thanks. But now its gotten away from me so apologies.
