Lauren needs help so she can continue to have the gift of time, to meet the cost of unfunded treatments she needs to live a longer life.
Nationwide
At just 30, our beautiful Lauren was diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s an adored Daughter, Granddaughter Sister, Cousin, Niece, Aunty and an incredible friend to so many.
She did everything to beat this till two years later the cancer was found to be metastatic ( incurable )
For 20 months she has fought this latest diagnosis through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but is now at a point there are no more funded options available in NZ.
Lauren is the most effervescent, giving and caring person, also a medic with Hato Hone St John Ambulance, her days spent helping others in need. Now she, herself is in the position of needing help to give her a chance of a longer life.
Lauren is facing an uncertain future without treatment, and now has the financial pressure of unfunded medications to continue this fight.
Without further chemotherapy, her prognosis is not good. She deserves a chance to fight this, to prolong her life and be with everyone that loves her so deeply, she is the centre of the world to those close to her.
Lauren is deeply private, sharing her journey publicly is not easy and asking for help is difficult.
The last thing she wants, is to be defined by cancer, she is so much more.
Please support us if you can, to help with costs of the unfunded therapy so urgently needed to give Lauren the gift of precious time. Time with her family and her friends. She has so much more life to live.
If you can give, no matter how big or small we would be truly grateful.

How do we thank you all! 13 April 2025
It was important to us that we thanked each and every person who has taken the time to donate to Lauren’s cause, and for the beautiful words of encouragement, support and love. If that alone could cure cancer then we would not be here!
We have seen messages of hope from those who have worked with Lauren in the past, whether that be from the NZDF, Air NZ, or other Hato Hone St John ambo’s from around the country, back to old school friends and from complete strangers showing gratitude for the work she does or the ones who are just so incredibly giving people, who cancer may have touched their lives or they are going through their own health struggles.
To know Lauren has an army of well wishes behind her gives us the strength to keep fighting.
Lauren is now in her “off” week of treatment, then will have a progress scan to see how things are going with two full rounds of Sasituzumab behind her.
Thats 25% of unfunded treatment behind her, and treatment we have been able to pay for thanks to so many wonderful and generous New Zealanders.
We feel incredibly blessed.
Lauren can now enter her 34th year with a little more hope of her biggest wish - Time.
Again, thank you all, you are amazing! X
