Our Beautiful Dad died 44 days after diagnosis of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
Canterbury
Our amazing Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer January 15th 2019. This means it had already spread to his liver.
He had a stent put in a few weeks later as he started going jaundice.
This helped, however he started going down hill quickly afterwards. His body started producing blood clots, so was also on daily injections of blood thinners to help with this. He had a clot in his leg which caused his foot to swell and made it painful to walk.
On Tuesday 19th February Dad went into hospital with an extremely high temperature, confusion & couldn't get out of bed. He had got Septicemia most likely caused from the stent he had inserted.
Dad managed to fight off the infection however it was just too much for his body.
It was just one thing after another.
Over 8 days we watched Dad dying in front of us.
Dad never deserved this. Only 56 years young, and not a single bad bone in his body. He is one of the most selfless, amazing people you would ever meet.
We didn't even get a chance to process the fact he even had cancer, nor a chance to even start any sort of treatment. It all happened so fast.
Any donations will go towards helping towards ongoing day to day costs that are hard to meet at this time.
