Hello, my name is Kerry, I have been personally affected by addiction and I am aware it is a growing problem in our society. Substance abuse leads to a downward spiral of anxiety, depression, despair, hopelessness, and sometimes suicide. Many families are torn apart by the destructive behaviour of the addicted.

Higher Ground is a residential based facility that provides support and structure for the addict who want to change their lifestyle and go on to become a productive member of society. There are many examples of successful outcomes from their programmes.

Higher ground is always appreciative of donations from the community to advance their objectives.

To support this cause and raise awareness we are going to walk the length of New Zealand, from Cape Reinga to Bluff, a distance of 3000 Km and this will take us about 6 months.

Use of funds

Moneys raised toward this cause will be presented to the Higher Ground Programme Director at the completion of our project.
