Support A Festival of People Power and Tribunal hearings into 1080. March 18th - 22nd 2020

Hi All, So many thanks for your support for this event however I unfortunately have

to announce that we are calling it off. There are a number of reasons including:

A) NZTA have announced that the road from Taupo to Turangi will be closed from 16th February until mid April. This makes the Horse hikoi impossible and will cause major traffic delays and problems for this whole region.

B) Flora and Fauna have arranged an alternative tribunal for people to share their views on 1080 and other poisons. We will support their tribunal;

C) the proposed tribunal hearings at Turangi have been postponed.

D) we are also having difficulty securing accommodation for the numbers attending.

The weekend of 21-22 March 2020 will instead now be used for a scaled down event for like minded interests to connect, with guest speakers and opportunities for videoing poison testimony,

The money raised is being held in the "poison trust account" and we will reconsider what we can do when we have discussed the options with the committee.

If anyone would like a refund please contact me...otherwise we will hold the funds to be used at a future date for an event related to stopping 1080 poison.
