Support Jono with his hip replacement surgery, helping him regain mobility and continue his decades of dedicated service to the community.
Papanui, Christchurch
For over 30 years, Jono Campbell has dedicated himself to supporting rangatahi and whānau through Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi. As General Manager for 20 years, and in his years before that, Jono has been there, uplifting countless young lives and leading with humility and compassion.
Now, Jono is facing his own struggle, and he needs our help!
Jono’s hip replacement surgery, initially achievable, came at a cost between $30,000–$50,000, but rising expenses continue to keep moving the goalposts. This surgery is essential, providing relief from the chronic pain that has impacted his life and will restore his mobility, enabling him to continue the work he loves.
For those who know him, you’ll understand that asking for support is the last thing Jono would ever do. He’s always been the one lifting others up. Now, it’s our chance to give back. Every dollar raised will go directly toward covering the cost of Jono’s surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation, helping him return to the community he has served so selflessly.
Let’s come together and support Jono in his healing journey, so he can keep doing what he’s always done: giving his all to the lives of others.
"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini." — My strength is not the strength of one, but the strength of many.
Jono is the General Manager/Kaihautū of our organisation, Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi.
All funds raised will go towards Jono's surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation, allowing him to return to what he does best, serving the community.
Ngā Mihi whānau ❤️ 21 November 2024
Kia Ora whānau,
We are so humbled and grateful to share that thanks to your incredible generosity, we successfully raised $6,220 ($5,947.75 after service fees) and Jono Campbell has hit his fundraising target to cover the costs of his surgery!!
The love and support from our community have been overwhelming. Your donations not only ensured Jono could get the surgery he urgently needed but also showed how deeply he is valued by so many. His surgery was a success, and he’s now on the road to recovery, focusing on healing and getting back to the mahi he loves, empowering our rangatahi and whānau.
With the target reached, we have decided to close the Givealittle page. He is immensely thankful for every donation, share, and kind word that made this possible.
Ngā mihi nui to you all for coming together and making a real difference. Jono and the team are deeply moved by your support. Let’s keep him in our thoughts and prayers as he recovers and prepares to return to the mahi he’s so passionate about.
Arohanui,
Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi ❤️
