To support the last dreams of a little girl suffering Leukaemia.
Auckland
Paloma is a Colombian girl who came to NZ as a refugee with her mom and her 2 siblings. She was happy because for the first time in her short 7 years she saw the sea in Orewa.
After a short time when she was 6 years old she began to feel bad and was diagnosed with LEUKAEMIA, she had a lot of struggle with chemotherapies, was transferred to Christchurch hospital from Invercargill where they did the impossible to get her back. She was very courageous for her young age and endured everything such as, hair loss, nausea, infections, pain, etc. The doctors decided to do a bone marrow transplant and she got transferred to Auckland.
She had extra chemo as preparation and finally the transplant was apparently a success, but sadly it did not because after a few months, she was admitted again to the hospital, with severe pain: THE CANCER HAD RETURNED, this time more aggressive.
Today she is in hospice care, at just 7 years old. The doctors say they can’t do anything more for her, and they just recommend to give her quality of life and happiness. These memories will also help her mother, Alejandra, to move forward and keep the nice memories of her.
Her family will stay in Auckland, they are looking for a house, pay for relocation and buy the remaining stuff to offer her a safe and nice place to live the rest of her time in the best environment as possible.
Paloma wants to go to so many places, her family want to give her the best happy memories for the last time.
