Try to ride the height of Mt Kilimanjaro (5,895m) on the infamous Mt Wellington - A Fundraiser for the Fly The Roof charity fund.
Auckland
Hello! My names Harry :) I'm going to attempt to ride up Mt Wellington in Auckland as many times as it takes to climb to the same the elevation of the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, which stands at a mighty 5,895m above sea level!
I'm instigating this challenge to myself to try to inspire a small bit of good will from your fine selves in return for an expected at least 14 hours of enduro suffering.
This is an event fundraiser for the Fly The Roof adventure charity fund, of which 100% of your donation (excluding any fees the payment systems ask for...) will go toward supporting and facilitating critical development projects in Tanzania. To be exact, developments like putting solar panels on the already completed Emboreet Primary School, a communication tower/aerial, a new classroom and a new teachers accommodation building. For more information PLEASE visit - flytheroof.com
I'd also love to invite all riders to come out on the day (Sunday the 14th of July)and join me for as many laps as you're up for! I'm an x-schoolboy national champion for the Mt Wellington hill climb so also I invite any schoolboys looking to get some tips/insight on how to win that infamously painful race.
I'm doing this fundraiser as a way to contribute further to our Fly The Roof donation fund. I and 3 friends are raising money for solar power, education facilities and communications in rural Tanzania!
The entirety of the money fundraised through this event help fund developments like putting solar panels on the already completed Emboreet Primary School, a communication tower/aerial, a new classroom and a new teachers accommodation building.
