Help us raise funds to give Tamsyn the best chance to beat cancer. Every little bit counts towards her $140,000 treatment cost.
Dunedin, Otago
Recently Tamsyn at age 38 was diagnosed with Grade Three, Stage Three Triple Negative Breast Cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes.
This is a rare and aggressive form of cancer which has a very selective treatment plan.
With Tamsyn’s Oncologists recommendation, she has opted for private treatments and immunotherapy to give her the best chance of survival. The current projected cost for the first 6 months of treatment is $140,000.00.
Tamsyn is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Anja who is 7 years old and Aroha who was tragically stillborn 18 months ago.
Although she is in for a very tough 6 months ahead with imminent chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy and surgery, Tamsyn, her husband Glen and daughter Anja are confident there will be a positive outcome for her once the treatment is completed.
Tamsyn was a professional triathlete before she joined the New Zealand Police, where she worked as a frontline officer and specialist squad member right up to the day of her first treatment.
She is passionate about her community, a loyal and caring friend, a loving mother, wife and daughter.
Please help her fight this battle. All donations will go towards the cost of her treatment.

Every donation will go towards Tamsyn's treatments, specifically the lifesaving immunotherapy treatment drug Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) which is completely unfunded for this type of cancer.
NGĀ MIHI NUI - The Masonic Lodge Dunedin 24 March 2024
On behalf of Tamsyn’s family, I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the Masonic Lodge Dunedin for their donation to Tamsyn's cancer fund.
To have such a prominent organisation within our community reach out and help Tamsyn and her family is truly special.
A special mention goes to senior constable Mark Tuten or “Toots” who made this happen.
Toots and Tamsyn worked together early in Tamsyn's career. Even though they no longer work in the same station, Toots regularly checks in to see how Tamsyn is doing, usually offering some worldly life advice and always putting a smile on her face! I know the smile is reciprocated, It’s a testament to both their characters.
