Help me to create my own income. The NZ Retro Weekly Top 40 Countdown.

Wellington

Last year while waiting for & then recovering from surgery, Rob Walker needed something to do with his spare time. So he started up his own non-profit low power radio station in Paraparaumu called TripleXFM playing the greatest music from the 70s & 80s that other stations weren't playing.

Since then the station has gained quite a following and is listened to by a sizable audience despite the smaller coverage. It is proudly designed to be of appeal to 40 to 60 year olds.

He also began producing a weekly radio show called The New Zealand Retro Weekly Top 40 Countdown to play on the station. Since then the show has attracted the interest of, and now plays in 23 towns and cities on radio stations around the country. The feedback from listeners around NZ is extremely positive from the almost 1.5 Million people within the collective areas.

The Retro Weekly Top 40 Countdown is a weekly trip back in time to New Zealand in the 70s & 80s. We countdown the 40 songs on the charts for the corresponding weekend.

The show is 4 hours of reminiscing and packed with audio from the artists, New Zealand events of that weekend and, because it's our countdown, it features New Zealand music!

The goal is to continue to create the show, to increase the number of stations broadcasting it and to expand onto other platforms thereby creating an income for myself in a field I worked in previously for decades. I want to be able to support myself doing what I love.

However, with no cash resources due to the unfortunate circumstance requiring surgery I am looking for generous people to enable me to kick start establishing this opportunity as a viable small business and thereby create my own income.

Funds would be used for more recording equipment and to cover production costs. It would also be used to establish the business and associated costs.
