Shaw Family's Mission Trip to Cambodia

Cambodia, a country and a people who have a dark history, and who have come a long way from the oppression they suffered, with help of a lot of people from different countries they are moving forward but there is still a need for skilled labourers and a there is lot of heart-breaking poverty. We are ordinary people who have a passion to help others in any way we can.

For many years LIFE Church has partnered with a Church in Phenom Penh sending teams of people in to help with building projects. This year because of the interest shown they are looking to send a two-fold team, building projects and ministry. It is an opportunity to help with whatever construction (we take our own tools) projects the church needs assistance with and to reach out to people living in the area, some who live in abject poverty, and share the love Jesus has for them.

In August 2020 we will be traveling with a team from LIFE Church to New Life Fellowship, Cambodia on a two-week mission trip. If we don't reach our goal of $12,000 but have enough to send one or two of us that's what we'll do, if we fall far short any money donated will be given to the team going over to help with purchasing materials needed for the building projects.

There is a great deal poverty in Cambodia, they are a people who are striving to do the best they have with what they have. Infrastructure is improving but as you can see from the pictures below there is still a great deal of need. The pictures above are an example of the work being done, the ones below are examples of the conditions people live in.

In Matthew 28 Jesus final words to his disciples and us was to go into all the world to minister his word. We cannot change the world but we can change and impact the lives of the people that we come into contact with
