The three original Spitfire base-ballers off to USA

These three athletes ( Ian McRae, Kayla McWilliam and Genuine Savaliga) were in the first Wairarapa Spitfire's U12 baseball travel team in 2018. Genuine has the opportunity to play in the Babe Ruth World 16U Series in Branson, Missouri 31 July - 19 August under Southern Cross Baseball Pathways Pac-Men 16U Team. Kayla has the opportunity to play in the Baseball for All Women's Nationals in Nevada, USA, she will play in July. Ian has the opportunity to experience USA highschool/college, local club Baseball in Southern California & Santiago in August. They have persevered over the past seven years to achieve the goal of playing baseball in the country that baseball originated. This is a 'once in a lifetime' diamond opportunity.
