THE TWELVE THOUSAND

$395 donated
Given by 5 generous donors in around 12 months

We are raising funds to provide safe houses for those who are rescued from trafficking and to protect others from becoming caught up in it.

Nationwide

THE TWELVE THOUSAND refers to the number of Nepalese children, daughters and sons, who are trafficked every year out of Nepal and into a life of slavery.

We - the Wakatipu Presbyterian Church - are seeking to raise awareness of this terrible situation and to ensure that

1) Survivors have a Voice

2) Prevention Work is Supported

3) Safe Houses are built, maintained, and run to a high standard.

About us

The Wakatipu Presbyterian Church is long established in Queenstown, Frankton, and Arrowtown. We serve our own community and overseas in partnership with local organisations.

Use of funds

Donations are received to build new safe home facilities in Nepal, through our Nepali based partner the Apple of God’s Eyes.
