The Future Fund – backing young New Zealanders to unleash their potential to change the world.

Nationwide

Inspiring Stories is a Kiwi charity with a big vision to see young New Zealanders realise their potential to change the world. Since 2011 we've worked with thousands of young New Zealanders to build their entrepreneurship and leadership capability, and their ideas to make a difference.

Our alumni have gone on to win awards, step into leadership positions, and represent New Zealand on the world stage. Now, we're looking to take things to the next level with a big bold goal to raise $1,000,000 and kick-start The Future Fund.

The funds will be used for two major purposes – (1) provide scholarship support to increase access for young New Zealanders from challenged backgrounds to experience life-changing opportunities like attending attending Festival for the Future and taking part in the Future Leaders programme; and (2) provide awards and prize money to celebrate and support inspiring young New Zealanders making a difference for our communities, country and beyond.

With your support towards the Future Fund, young New Zealanders will change the world.

Imagine.

About us

At Inspiring Stories, our vision is to see young New Zealanders realise their potential to change the world.

We’re the crew behind the annual event Festival for the Future; The Impact Awards providing $25K in prizes to celebrate and support young New Zealanders making a difference; and the Future Leaders programme, which is changing lives for young people in some of NZ's most challenged rural and provincial communities.

Your support helps us to provide life-changing opportunities and scholarship support for young New Zealanders.

The Future Fund helps launch The Impact Awards!  7 October 2020

In 2019 we launched The Impact Awards with to celebrate and support young New Zealanders making a difference for our future, with $20,000 in prizes across four categories – climate, enterprise, inclusion, and wellbeing.

The inaugural Impact Awards attracted 200 applicants from 12 regions across New Zealand. The Awards Ceremony took place on the Saturday night during the weekend of Festival for the Future, and attracted 400 guests – including CEO’s and senior leaders from business and government, as well as young people and finalists from across the nation.

For a first time initiative, The Impact Awards has been hugely successful. Part of the money that we raised from The Future Fund campaign back in 2015 has helped to seed the awards, and we're incredibly excited to build on this.
