When Bridget Lyon was diagnosed in her thirties as carrying the Huntington’s Disease gene, she knew she would one day deteriorate like her mother Judy Lyon, a former passionate campaigner of raising awareness of the little-known disease that would soon take her mind and body. When Bridget’s two brothers were also diagnosed as carriers of the neurodegenerative gene, the worst was confirmed: that Huntington’s would wipe out the entire generation of their family. Film editor Bridget and her Director/Producer partner Jeff McDonald decided to make a documentary about their experience.
Bridget & Jeff are accepting donations here to help the film to be seen by as many people as possible around New Zealand and the world.
