Supporting The Jacobsen Family - In memory of Chris

Chris Jacobsen turned 31 on 8 July 2016. He was in the Faroe Islands visiting his father’s country and was at the beginning of his first overseas experience. Chris had worked hard to save the money for this journey and had a work visa for France which was his next destination.

Forever an adventurer Chris was exploring the Faroe Island when tragically he fell and died. He passed away doing something he loved and is sorely missed by a wide circle of friends and family. We want to bring him home, to Wanaka the place that he found a real sense of belonging amongst the people and the mountains.

He is much loved by his family and as one of his friends has written Chris was always there for everyone, always happy and helpful, always dreaming big and doing things that he loved the most. Being out there in the mountains, djing, partying, dressing up and dancing till the sunrise or just spending his evenings at the café Kai. He loved life.
