Therapy Miniature Horses needs your help Please

It all started with Little Luka (18 yr old). Luka helped me through a dark 2020.

Covid, Various life changing medical conditions and n house fire.

But somehow just being with Luka, giving this little guy a pat or a cuddle, made everything better!

As a volunteer and duty coach at the Balclutha (Otago) Riding for the disabled I took Luka to our year end function to dress up and have fun with the Riders and volunteers.

Luka loved the children and they loved him! He had a very special way with them. He was calm and kept the children calm even with a blazing winds of up to 130km/ph blowing that day!

That’s when I realised how much these little horses have to offer.

“No wonder they are being used all over the world for therapy!”

Since then Luka got 2 new friends, Pépé and Peanut. They help Luka to bring Therapeutic Love and joy to our Little Clutha community by volunteering at Special Charities, fundraising events, visiting Tamariki and the Elderly.

Luka, Pépé and Peanut need your help to continue and expand their work in the wider rural community.

They have the following to say;

“Mum’s Truck needs alterations to keep us save on our visits to our friends.

We need halters, boots and blankets as it gets quite nippy down here in the south.

Our lovely Ferrier friend, Joe, needs to feed his family too.

We need to be Vet checked, our teeth cleaned, dewormed, minerals and Vitamins and special feed to keep us healthy so we can continue visiting Nanna, little Lucy and our sick friends.
