The Water Boy

My name's Sam. I'm spending 2015 volunteering in the rural Philippines, implementing socially sustainable renewable energy, potable water & sanitation projects through Green Empowerment (www.greenempowerment.org).

I believe every person on the planet should have access to potable water. It's the essence of life after all, and it's not good enough that in modern times people die from water borne disease.

I feel privileged to have the skills needed to make sustainable community-based water and energy infrastructure available in the developing world.

But I do need a bit of help from my friends, family and anyone else who cares about this issue as much as I do to help me cover the costs of this volunteer year.

I'm hoping to raise $6,000 to cover the costs of my travel, accommodation and food.
