We are raising funds to help Nikki and Courtney and the kids rebuild their lives after their home was lost in the Hawkes Bay flooding.
Hawke's Bay
Nikki, Courtney and their two kids Noah (7) and Makenna (2) have lost their family home due to the flooding that cyclone Gabrielle brought to Hawkes Bay.
They had built their home only a couple of years ago and were enjoying living there together making memories as a family, when it was suddenly very cruelly all taken away from them.
After sitting on their roof top for 5 hours in the wind and rain waiting to be rescued, they are now safe which we are all so thankful for, but they are coming to terms with everything that they have lost and that in itself is heartbreaking for any family.
With their contents insurance recently lapsed, they have a long road ahead of them to rebuild their lives.
We know that times are tough, and that there are many others who have been affected by this horrible weather event, but if you are in a position to give anything at all to Nikki, Courtney and the kids, we would be beyond grateful.
Nikki is my sister
The money raised will be used to help Nikki and Courtney re purchase the items that they lost in their home. This will range from furniture, electronics, appliances, bedding, toiletries, clothes, food, and vehicles.
Thank you! 24 February 2023
Thank you all so much for your generous donations. Each contribution whether it be big or small is so appreciated, and will help Nikki, Courtney and the kids to rebuild all that they have lost.
A little update on how they are doing - they are currently staying with family until they move into a rental in Taradale which has kindly been offered to them.
Once they are in there they will be able to focus on setting up their home and moving forward.
As you could imagine, for them and many others in Hawkes Bay, it is a matter of taking things day by day, hour by hour.
Please continue to share this page with your friends and families, as every little bit helps.
