With no end in sight to the atrocities, the Abu Raida family needs your help to survive.
Nationwide
The Abu Rida family has been forced to move a couple of times since leaving their tents in Rafah due to the IOF's invasion. They pitched tents in the Al Mawasi area of Khan Younis, but on the 20th of June, they decided to return to their home that was miraculously still standing among the ruins of other homes out of a desire to feel its comfort.
On the 27th of June, they were attacked. Two members of their extended family were killed, a grandmother and her grandson.
My friend Yasser and his family, however, miraculously survived the bombing but had to make a quick escape out of the area. Their family members are now split and are now living in different areas in Gaza.
Yasser's family also requires other necessities, but humanitarian aid is only trickling through the Karam al Salam border and air-dropped in insufficient numbers. Food and diapers are available in the market but this family needs help to buy them, albeit at exorbitant prices.
The family constantly requires funding as long as this catastrophe continues. The money goes to their family, an orphan of extended family whom they have taken in and other Palestinians who are starving in desperate situations.
Asif is my husband
And he is a friend of the father of this family in Gaza.
The money will be spent on food, diapers and other necessities to help out Yasser Hassan Abu Raida and his family.
Yasser's recent update (Image: Yasser's camp) 25 October 2024
Dear Supporters,
We want to share an urgent update from Yasser, who is currently in Gaza. The situation around him is dire and dangerous. Recently, a tent belonging to their friends and neighbors in Khuza'a was bombed, resulting in one confirmed martyr and several injuries. Yasser and his children, Mohammed and Youssef, were just 100 meters away when the incident occurred. They were understandably frightened and had to hide near the tents for safety. Thankfully, after checking on them, Yasser reports that they are safe for now, despite the surrounding chaos.
Tragically, this is not the only crisis they are facing. The threat of new displacement looms over them due to escalating tensions in their area, compelling families to evacuate to preserve their lives. Yasser described this situation as a new shame upon an already strained community.
This update underscores the urgent need for our support. Your contributions have previously provided Yasser and his family with crucial resources, and as the situation continues to worsen, we urge you to consider donating again. Every little bit helps in providing safety and essentials for families in Gaza facing unimaginable challenges.
Thank you for standing with us in solidarity and compassion during this critical time. Together, we can make a difference.
