...her son saved up for ages and now his bike has been stolen
Auckland
Piri has spent years helping kids with challenges (and their families), in the kindest, gentlest and most generous kind of way. Although she is a single mum, with limited funds and time, she has done this all for little and mostly no charge at all.
Her son Balaz, spent a long time raising funds for his second hand electric bike, and it has been stolen. This was at a huge expense to Balaz, who has worked extremely hard to raise the money for it over a long period of time.
Piri in the 10 years has never been upset, she is always there for everyone else. This is the first time I have seen her upset.
It's just not fair for someone like her (in my mind).
What is worse, is that it was stolen from her home between 11pm and 5am. She is now struggling to sleep because the thieves came onto her property, which has made her feel unsafe.
If I had the money, I would buy a new bike straight out for Piri's boy, because I am so grateful to his amazing mum. But I don't, so I am asking people who know Piri or someone like Piri to be helped out here. Thank you.
This woman helped my family (and many others) at a time when we were struggling with our daughter and needed help. She did this all for free. My husband and I feel indebted to her and the time and love she has put into many many others.
To replace the bike and the lock. If there are surplus funds, it would be great to help put some security cameras or alarms around her rental property, so that she feels a bit more safe at night.
Bike found! But in pieces :( 3 February 2020
Hey there supporters of Piri, Piri was chuffed to hear from Police bike was found. To their dismay, it was written off. Typical generous Piri, has given the bike to a bike mechanic to use for free parts for another family in need. See, I told you she was a kind soul. Thank you so so much. This money will allow her to buy a replacement bike.
