It is was a heavy heart and much sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Thomas Riley this afternoon from injuries sustained in a road accident in Rarotonga last night.

Thomas was a happy, cheerful, loyal and intelligent young man who was a joy to be around. Thomas was an absolute star of our restaurant and bar team. He loved his work, his guests, his friends and colleagues and, most of all, his loved ones and family.

Please join with us in offering our deepest condolences to Thomas’ partner, family, friends and colleagues.

Details of a memorial service to be held in Rarotonga prior to Thomas’s return to his home island of Taveuni, Fiji will be announced shortly.

Further information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

I am the Manager at the resort where Thomas worked. He was passed away as a result of an accident and now we are raising funds to get him home to his family in Fiji.

Use of funds

The funds will be used to pay for the repatriation of Thomas' remains back to his family in Fiji.

On His Way  7 February 2019

This will be the final update. Thomas was fare welled for the final time by his Rarotongan family this morning and will now travel back to his family and friends in Fiji. Thank you all for your support and generosity in assisting in getting him home.
